5 ways to RenewMe!

 

While I am absolutely all for holidays (you can never have too many!), massages, facials, music, and downtime... self-renewal goes much deeper than you think. Beyond the buzz of self-care tips is where you will find true renewal.

Here are 5 ways to RenewMe!

1.       Being true to yourself and living authentically

Learn your values or simply recognise your values and live by them. If your actions don’t feel right, then it probably isn’t. Be true to you.

2.       Boundaries, Boundaries, Boundaries

Set boundaries with partners, friends, family and work. Carrying guilt for saying the big NO sometimes, isn’t helpful to you or anyone. Boundaries help others understand your limits and adjust their behaviours when they need to. It’s also a way for you to respect your own limits. We all have them.

3.       Surround yourself with positive energy

Give your time to people and things that show you respect, support, build you up and encourage you. This sometimes means distancing yourself from or placing boundaries with those who do not.

4.       Practice self-compassion

Challenge your own expectations of yourself. Give yourself the time and understanding that you would afford to others. Be kind to yourself, you deserve it.

5.       Work on your personal growth

The possibilities are endless. Strive to develop and change. Read, learn about others, try new experiences.  Seek therapy to work on issues and understand yourself.
